Alexis is an accomplished Speech-Language Pathologist and Department Manager, holding a master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from SCSU. With a deep passion for her work, Alexis thrives on building individual connections with her clients, uncovering their unique communication styles and modes. Witnessing the transformation of a child from frustration to joy through effective communication strategies is a source of immense fulfillment for her. Committed to professional growth, Alexis actively seeks out learning opportunities in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and supervision to support her department's evolution into a teaching program for graduate students. Outside of her career, Alexis embraces an active lifestyle, enjoying activities like exercising, hiking, soccer, and fishing. She finds joy in beach outings, skiing in the winter, and water rafting in the summer. Alexis also participates in a women's choir and enjoys traveling abroad, particularly to visit family near Paris, where she indulges her love for speaking French.Â
