What can a speech therapy session look like?
We utilize a variety of approaches to ensure that our clients have an enjoyable experience. This includes: play-based, structured, or mixed, depending on the needs of your child and their areas of intervention. We provide consistent caregiver support and training for home carryover
What does your ABA Therapy look like?
Our goal is for your child to be happy, relaxed, and engaged while developing meaningful skills. We provide consistent caregiver support and training for home carryover. We utilize a play-based approach to ensure that our children have an enjoyable experience here.
Do you make recommendations for additional medical providers?
We’ve compiled a therapist-approved list of sensory-friendly local community services for you and your family, including dentists, haircuts, counseling, activities, and more! Your therapist can give you a flyer at any time.
Do I need a referral from a Doctor?
Not all insurances require a referral. When speaking with our scheduling team, they will direct you if a referral is needed for services to begin.
What can an Occupational Therapy sessions look like?
We utilize a play-based approach to ensure that our children have
an enjoyable experience here. We provide consistent caregiver support and
training for home carryover.
What is your Aquatic Therapy?
We offer Aquatic Speech and OT for our Southbury location at the Hotel Pool
What insurance do you accept for therapy?
Most major insurances are accepted. However, insurance participation does vary from one therapy to another. Please make sure you call your provider and are familiar with what forms of therapy may be covered. Our authorizations, billing, and scheduling team is available for any further questions.
What should I expect during evaluations?
Not all our therapists perform evaluations, so at times, your evaluating team may differ from your session therapist. We have highly qualified diagnosticians who facilitate our evaluations between both locations.
What can a Physical Therapy session look like?
Our Physical Therapist’s focus is for children to be as mobile as possible in their lives, and address anything that may impact a child’s movement, posture, or body alignment. We utilize a play-based approach to ensure that our children have an enjoyable experience here. We provide consistent caregiver support
and training for home carryover.
Do I need to bring anything to my appointments?
Children who use an AAC device should always bring it to sessions. Those participating in feeding therapy and who have elected to provide their own food will need to bring for each session.
