APPLIED BEHAVIOR ANALYSIS

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based approach to services based on the science of learning and behavior. Similar to the other therapies we offer; our ABA team believes that children learn best when it is motivating and fun! At SPGCT, we get to know the child and family well first when building a rapport. We believe parents and other providers are all important members of your child’s team by incorporating parent training and staff collaboration into the programming process to ensure consistency in services across different settings.

Applied Behavior Analysis is for:

ABA Therapy empowers individuals to over come obstacles, enhance their communication abilities, and ultimately lead more fulfilling and integrated lives within their communities. ABA Therapy serves as a lifeline for individuals across the autism spectrum, offering tailored support to enhance their quality of life and foster personal development. Its beneficiaries include children, adolescents, and adults grappling with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). For children, ABA provides a structured and evidence-based framework to address behavioral challenges, promote social skills, and facilitate academic progress. Adolescents navigating the complexities of adolescence find in ABA a means to develop essential life skills, fostering independence and social integration.

How we help:

We utilize a play-based approach to ensure that our children have an enjoyable experience here. Our goal is for your child to be happy, relaxed, and engaged while developing meaningful skills. Providing consistency is essential through caregiver support and training for home carryover. Our therapists collaborate with other internal team members of shared disciplines to carry over skills into their other sessions when applicable (i.e. OT, ST, PT).
